We accept new items for consignment every day. We are here to make selling your items as simple as possible and to ensure your items fetch the best possible prices. Here is what you need to know before you consign with us.

Pricing Your Items

One of the first questions on everyone's mind usually is: “How should I price my consignment merchandise?” When you consign with Second Avenue Consignment, pricing is always a decision made in partnership with the consigner. Condition, style and the original price are all factors in determining the best price.

You will receive 65% of the final sale price on furniture, home decor and jewelry over $26. You will receive 50% of the final sale price on items $25 and under. This is one of the best consignment rates around. Selling prices are automatically discounted 10% after 30 days from the time we accept them for consignment, then 20% after 60 days.

The Consignment Process

  • Before you bring your items into our store, check to make sure they are items that we accept for consignment. See a list of these items here.
  • Thoroughly clean all items and make sure they are in good working order, with sturdy construction, no damage,no stains and from a smoke free home.
  • Call and schedule an appointment any day of the week to bring in and show us your carefully selected items. Preferably no more than 25 items per appointment if you have many different small items.
  • For furniture or other very large items, take good, clear photographs of the item(s) and either drop by the shop with the photos, or send the photos to us via e-mail: secondavenuenh@aol.com
  • Also, please indicate the size of the item(s) so that we can make room for them on the floor. We will get back to you as soon as possible for inquires submitted via e-mail.
  • When you bring your items in to our store (directions to the shop), we will have you sign an agreement with us if you are a first-time consigner. After we get your information in our data base and your items are priced, we will provide you with a print out for your records.
  • We keep current records of all items on consignment. If you have any questions about the status of your consignment, please give us a call anytime at 603-880-3323
  • Once an item has been on consignment with us for over 60 days, either party can terminate the consignment agreement. Unsold items can be picked up between 60 days and 90 days after consigning. After 90 days any unsold items that have not been picked up by the consigner will be donated to local charities.
